Menopause Yoga™ 


Take time for yourself, to slow down, to connect with other women, to know you are not alone. This is  positive uplifting workshop to help you better understand this time in you life with a kindness, acceptance and compassion.

These workshops present a positive approach to menopause, offering holistic guidance, sharing knowledge and insight to empower women though this time of life. Menopause is a natural phase in a women’s life when our sex hormones (oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone) decline, shift and re-balance. The journey of menopause will move through a number of stages from peri-menopause to menopause and finally post-menopause. Every women’s experience will be unique to her, for some women menopause is hardly noticeable and for others it is a challenging time of life with impactful symptoms. These symptom’s often change as the body is adjusting to the fluctuations in hormones. This can be very confusing as to which stage of the menopause you are actual experiencing. These workshops are intended to support women at any stage of their menopause journey, at any age and with or without any symptoms.


Menopause yoga unites Western medicine and Eastern wellbeing practices, there is much to learn from both perspectives. Ayurvda and TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) both view this natural transition in life as liberating, a chance to preserve life essence, preparing to step into wisdom and wholeness, by balancing our bodies energies, slowing down and tuning into what we need at this time of life. Many women find taking HRT (hormone replacement therapy) incredibly beneficial, and this can be greatly supported with an holistic approach a long side any medication.

These specially adapted yoga practice’s will be accessible to all abilites and will offer levels for those who wish to keep it gentle or those wishing to be more dynamic. Each session will be themed to support particular symptoms to help calm the nervous system, reduce stress and anxiety, release irritability, cool hot flushes, sooth emotional feelings, restore depleted energy and ease sleep disturbance. It will include helpful breathing techniques and relaxing restorative poses and mindful meditations.


Our women’s circle is an important part of each workshop, this is a safe and non-judgemental space for confidential discussion and sharing our experiences of menopause in order to support one another and gain collective insight.


Menopause yoga known as MY™ was created by Petra Coveney in 2013. Petra works closely with many leading experts in menopause around the world. 


MY™ aims are to educate and empower women so that they can embrace the changes in their minds, bodies and emotions.
